Terms of Service

By creating an account or using BuildMyDeck ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

BuildMyDeck is a deck-building assistant for Magic: The Gathering Commander format. It analyzes your card inventory and generates deck suggestions. All deck lists are suggestions — they are not guaranteed to be optimal, tournament-legal, or complete. Final deck decisions are yours.

2. Accounts

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. You are responsible for keeping your password secure and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at support if you believe your account has been compromised.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Use the Service to violate any law or regulation
Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract the underlying engine at scale
Share your account credentials or allow others to use your account
Upload inventory files containing malicious content
Abuse the build quota system (e.g. creating multiple accounts to circumvent limits)

4. Inventory data

When you upload a card inventory, that data is stored on our servers to power the deck-building engine. We do not sell or share your inventory data with third parties. See our Privacy Policy for full details on data handling.

5. Credits and payments

Free daily build credits are provided as-is and may change at any time. Purchased credits are non-transferable. We offer refunds on unused purchased credits within 30 days of purchase — contact support with your username and purchase date.

6. Intellectual property

Magic: The Gathering, card names, and related marks are property of Wizards of the Coast. BuildMyDeck is an independent tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Wizards of the Coast. Card data used by the engine is sourced from Scryfall's public API under their terms.

7. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Deck suggestions are generated algorithmically and may not reflect current card prices, ban list changes, or meta shifts. BuildMyDeck does not guarantee the availability, accuracy, or legality of any suggested card for a given format.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, BuildMyDeck's liability for any claim arising from your use of the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 90 days preceding the claim.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms. If we make material changes, we'll post the new Terms and update the effective date above. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
